Second in the series of Small Shows in Big Spaces hosted by Music In Communities Co-op!
This performance will be a rare, one night only ensemble of one half of Holy F@*k along with their former collaborator, Loel Campbell of Wintersleep. Featuring Brian Borcherdt on tape and drum machines, mixers and effects, he will be joined by Matt McQuaid on bass and guitar and Loel Campbell on drums. Between the three members they have accrued multiple wins and nominations from the Junos, Polaris , ECMAs, as well as the CBC Bucky award for Canada’s best live act. They’ve toured the world on stages such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Fuji Rocks and more. Their music has been championed in the press by members of Radiohead, REM, MIA, Iggy Pop, and the late Lou Reed. This one-off will be unique to what they’ve done in their previous acts. As most of the set will be improvised, it will be a throwback to their early roots.
