Workshop with Jah'Mila
Sunday February 28, 2021  1pm - 3pm (2 Hours)
Music Workshop / Class

Presented by Music In Communities & Deep Roots Music
 [email protected]

Event in Room: Studio-Z

Deep Roots Music Cooperative and Music In Communities are excited to co-present this workshop. Here's how Jah'Mila describes what she'll be covering:
"Using my own experiences as a reggae artiste, I will share my views on meaningful creativity.
I will use reggae as an example to explore the ways that art impacts reality and, conversely how reality impacts art. I will examine my personal artistry as well as those of others, to analyze various approaches to music and songwriting.
Is it self-serving, or done in service of others? How are people impacted by it? Is it an instrument for social awareness, and change? In this workshop, I hope that all present can participate in deep and thought provoking discussions about how creativity influences culture and vice versa." #MakeMeaning
