Atlantic Canada’s premier vocal ensemble
Presented in partnership with Musique Royale, Helios Vocal Ensemble will be performing some of the most beautiful music from the past and present, on the theme of lamentation.
Included are works by Renaissance composers Thomas Tallis, William Byrd, and the remarkable nun Raffaella Aleotti, as well as works by the intensely expressive Italian composer Carlo Gesualdo, German great Heinrich Schütz, late Renaissance master Orlande de Lassus, and the witty twentieth-century Swedish songsmith Povel Ramel.
Bursaries are available; please get in touch if price is an obstacle to attending this concert.
*Seats have are been marked to accommodate physical distancing of 6 feet. Face masks are required.
