Paint the Town, Nova Scotia’s premiere
plein-air-inspired festival, celebrates 26 incredible years and ARTSPLACE is paying tribute in a very special way: 26 years and 26 artists! Due to continued uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, the event will largely be an online affair; but this year, some of the artists will be in Annapolis Royal painting outdoors or in their studio!
Each participating artist will produce 1 to 2 works for auction, and this year Paint the Town is more interactive than ever! No matter where you are, you can follow the creative journey on Instagram starting August 7 with the hashtags: #ptt26art #ptt26artist #freshlymadeart21. And if you’re in Annapolis Royal August 14-15, join the fun, spot a Paint the Town artist, ask to take a photo then tag their location (plus @arcac.artsplace) and ARTSPLACE will share your post to spread the word!
Get a “behind the scenes look” as artists highlight their creative process on Instagram August 14-15. Then the second online Paint the Town auction (https://www.32auctions.com/PTT26), takes place August 16, works of art will find new homes across Canada with the auction’s highest bidders.
