Drums Across Canada – local Indigenous drum singers send out a call and answer from King’s Theatre to drum groups all across Canada in this Live and Livestream hybrid event.
Artistic Director Michele-Elise Burnett has created a powerful program called Drums Across Canada to bridge our country together in unity, to send love, and to heal. Beginning in downtown St. Catharines in the backyard of the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre, the drum will be shared with drum circles across Canada, presented live in-person and broadcast through a virtual livestream.
Local participants: ‘Sipu Singers’, including Rose Meuse and shalan joudry from L’sitkuk (Bear River) Mi’kmaw First Nation.
