Join New Hermitage for their 3rd annual silent horror screening with a live improvised musical score. New Hermitage is an award-winning improvised music ensemble based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Every Halloween they select a classic silent horror film and give it a terrifying new musical score, that they improvise to the film. They hope you will join them for this year's production of Nosferatu!
This is an all-ages event. Wear a costume and you could win a prize!
Nosferatu Synopsis:
The mysterious Count Orlok (Max Schreck) summons Thomas Hutter (Gustav von Wangenheim) to his remote castle in the Transylvanian mountains, a place whose eeriness is rivalled only by its master. Orlok seeks to buy a house near Hutter and his wife, Ellen (Greta Schroeder). After Orlok reveals his vampire nature, Hutter struggles to escape the castle, knowing that Ellen is in grave danger. Meanwhile, Orlok's servant, Knock (Alexander Granach), prepares for his master to arrive at his new home
