Celebrating 40 Years of ARCAC and ARTSPLACE
The Annapolis Region Community Arts Council (ARCAC) was founded in 1982 by a small group of engaged, local artists inspired by a desire to share work and invite new ideas from the world of contemporary art.
Four decades later, their legacy continues to enrich our cultural lives.
Please join us for an afternoon of cake and conversation as we celebrate a landmark anniversary at one of our community’s enduring institutions.
Everyone is welcome as we open three simultaneous exhibitions followed by a proclamation by our town crier, cake cutting, and a sneak preview of ArtSeen, a not-yet-launched digital platform highlighting Maritime artists.
Explore our binders of photos and press clippings from festivals, exhibitions and masquerades through the 80s, 90s and onward. Surprising celebrities and amusing images of well-known local luminaries abound. Perhaps you’ll uncover memories of old friends. Perhaps you’ll find yourself!
Light refreshments will be served.
Come early… or we’ll have finished all the cake!
