Workshop participants perform a solo spoken word piece in front of a live audience — all welcome!
What is spoken word? Think “Adults Read What They Wrote As Kids,” or the Story Moth, or a poetry reading, or a short monologue… performed into a microphone, live. Sounds scary, right? But why should that stop you?!
Join us as participants overcome the challenge of public speaking with a spoken word event in front of a live audience.
Presented in partnership with Young Company Productions.
GEORGE CLAIRMONT is an actor, writer, director, and improviser. He is currently a member of Young Company Productions in Annapolis Royal.
THE NEXT GEN THEATRE PROJECT is an initiative of King’s Theatre that includes free workshops for both adults and youth to build on the community’s passion for creating theatre. The aim is to celebrate diversity, resilience & belonging in Kespukwitk. The project is supported by Canadian Heritage’s Celebration and Commemoration Program, Reopening Fund.
