Flying Squirrel Adventures (through Blomidon Naturalists Society) is now licensed as a Duke of Edinburgh Award Centre. In partnership with Y-Reach, Valley Community Learning Association, Kids Action Program, and others, we are continuing our youth engagement and leadership development work in a new way to better serve youth in the Valley.

Young people working towards achieving the Award set personally challenging goals around skills and relationship building and then strive to reach those goals. Participants will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a mentor as well as being part of a cohort of youth working towards similar goals.

At this event, we will continue to work with participants on choosing and setting their goals for the skills, physical recreation, and community service portion of their Bronze-level journey of the Award. We will eat dinner together at Community Suppers afterwards.
