Beginner, For Everyone
DESCRIPTION:
This workshop will offer an introduction to stained glass and the Tiffany technique (copperfoil).
Students will learn to cut the glass according to prepared patterns, foil, solder and apply the finishing patinas as they assemble a small heart-shaped sun catcher to take home and hang.
All tools and materials will be provided (e.g. glass cutters, soldering irons, glass grinders, chemicals, patterns, boards, glass, copperfoil, solder).
Please, wear closed shoes and appropriate work clothing.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Yolanda Marsolais has been a professional stained glass artisan since 2012. As an instructor and artisan for Studio du Verre in Montreal she worked on various residential, commercial, and ecclesiastic projects, such as the restoration of Montreal's Mary Queen of the World Cathedral. She has owned her own company since 2013. She continues to do custom work, restoration, and stained glass instruction since moving to her studio in Deep Brook.
