Climate Circles Community Gathering
Sunday February 26, 2023  2pm - 4pm (2 Hours)
Meeting / Club Family Friendly Community

 coordinator@blomidonnaturalists.ca

This will be open to everyone who is keen on working together on local climate action, sharing knowledge and ideas, learning together, and figuring out our community's needs and desire through intentional focused time on climate action.

The focus of this meeting:
- This meeting will be fairly relaxed, will be a chance for connection, knowledge sharing, project action group formation and work (based on the ideas proposed last time around energy; active and public transit; food; trees and greenspaces; and storytelling), and other collaboration and ideas.
- The focus is: developing relationships & finding some more clarity around action projects & next steps.
- We will try to address the following aims:
1. Community Connection: It will start with a group circle for connection, sharing, an activity, and reflection. We will allow for social mingling, connection, and resource sharing. We will hold time to discuss how we are feeling about the climate - and welcome all emotions.
2. Joy & Care: Snacks and tea. Moments for sharing stories of hope, inspiration & resilience.
3. Action! : Working together in groups on action projects and ideas. Clarifying some short-term goals and next steps. Building the relationships and networks needed.

We will engage in large and small group work. It will be fairly organic, with opportunities for whoever is in the room to help direct the gathering.

Our childcare provider is now unavailable for February however we will have a craft table and supplies and other such fun things and kids are certainly welcome in this space whoever they seek to participate. Please connect if you can help us meet this need for a kid-friendly space!

Consider bringing...
- Updates on local climate events or opportunities who wish to share or solicit support
- A good news story or inspiration for action: something you, your neighbour, someone else is doing that is inspiring, creative, fun?
- If you want to bring a snack to share to add to our table, great!
- Something else to share to the group?

Consider reflecting on...
"None of us have all the answers. All of us have wisdom to offer..."
