Stage managers can be incredible creative resources to help community theatre productions run smoothly but are sometimes underused. This workshop is an introduction to some of the ways, with practical suggestions and examples from the professional world, to start maximizing the potential of stage management in a community theatre setting. For all ranges of experience and everyone from stage managers, directors, producers and production managers, technical crew, backstage crew, to actors – anyone who loves bringing a production to the stage!
Participants should bring clean, indoor footwear and a water bottle.
Space is limited. Registration is required.

ABOUT SUSANNA HALEY
Susanna Haley has more than 30 years of experience working in community, professional, and semi-professional theatre across Canada. Professionally trained as a stage manager at Studio 58 in Vancouver, she has worked in that capacity in Nova Scotia at Neptune Theatre, Festival Antigonish, Mulgrave Road Theatre, and the Liverpool International Theatre Festival.
THE NEXT GEN THEATRE PROJECT is an initiative of King’s Theatre that includes free workshops for both adults and youth to build on the community’s passion for creating theatre. The aim is to celebrate diversity, resilience & belonging in Kespukwitk. The project is supported by Canadian Heritage’s Celebration and Commemoration Program, Reopening Fund.
