It’s end of summer 1987, the local girls‘ private school has burned down, forcing the attendees to navigate all the joys and pitfalls of attending school alongside the boys at their private school. Will their relationships stand the cliques and excitement of this new situation? Inspired by John Hughes’ movies, this exciting musical features your favourite 80's hits.
Music arrangement by Keigan Richard, choreography by Jillie Richard and Tracy Fanous, band direction by Zoe Strutt, co-conceived by Kerri Leier and Tracy Fanous and starring many Edalene, and valley grads and students, this show celebrates its 17th anniversary. It was the first musical performed on the Al Whittle stage, boasts many professional Nova Scotia theatre and music professionals as alumni, and has been performed overseas.
This production is produced by The Graduate Collective, a group dedicated to giving back. Along with the generous support of local businesses, all profits from this production will be funding The Valley Fine Arts Scholarship, a scholarship being offered to a graduate intending on studying Fine Arts after high school.
