Acting Workshop: Performing Shakespeare’s Sonnets
LEVEL:
For young adults* to seniors (15-18 with parent/guardian permission). No experience is necessary. Bring your choice of a favourite Shakespearean sonnet.

DESCRIPTION:
Have you ever wanted to perform a sonnet by William Shakespeare? Join a workshop with professional actors to learn the basics of putting together a dramatic reading of this unique poetic form. The morning session will enable you to discover your own personal dramatic style in the reading of your favourite sonnet. In the afternoon, each participant may present their own reading to the others in the workshop.
Fed and Heather are from Brooklyn, NY. Both have performed on stage and screen. Fed is known for TV roles on American Rust (Showtime), Blue Bloods (CBS), and Bull (CBS). His theatre roles include Horatio in Hamlet (The Shakespeare Theatre Company) and Freddy in Pygmalion (Williamstown Theatre Festival). Heather is known for her portrayal of Anna Strong in the AMC series Turn: Washington’s Spies and the role of Katy in Boardwalk Empire (HBO). She performed the role of Jessica, alongside Al Pacino as Shylock, in the play The Merchant of Venice on Broadway.
