“Soaring Elegance” is a celebration of youth ballet presented by the Maritime Conservatory’s Ballet Ensemble COBA. Young dancers from Halifax, Dartmouth, and the Valley area will present a mixed program ballet performance. This performance will include dancers from Cadance Academy, COBA, and Coastal Dance Theatre.
The performance will open with a ballet class, an excerpt from the 1849 Bournonville Ballet “Le Conservatoire” in the style of the Romantic era. The program will culminate with an excerpt from “Giselle” by the Conservatory Ballet Ensemble, a timeless Romantic presentation.
COBA (The Conservatory Ballet Ensemble) is a pre-professional performance ensemble established to provide an opportunity for young dancers aged 15 and up to present classically based repertoire.
