Event in Room: OpenSpace (on ARTSPLACE grounds)
*CANCELLED* Due to last minute changes in artist availability, "The Invisible Artist Carnival" will not be able to travel to Annapolis Royal after all.
We encourage you to still catch a circus show tonight! Head down to King's Theatre at 7:30 for the pay-what-you-will performance of "A GOOD CATCH CIRCUS: CASTING OFF," visiting from Australia for one night only. Visit kingstheatre.ca for details
Thank you to everyone for your excitement about "The Invisible Artist Carnival." We heard from so many who eager for Tuesday, then made plans to come for tonight's rain date performance, too.
Other Hearts and Eyelevel are sorry they won't make it down to see us. We all apologize for this disappointing news.
We look forward to bringing more such events in future, when similar opportunities to collaborate arise.

Outdoor performance, family friendly, robust accessibility: signed, audio described (10 units available), touch tour post performance, on request, please contact ARTSPLACE (902-532-7069).
IAC, formerly known as The Intangible Adorations Caravan, is a multi-disciplinary performance work created by Other Hearts with Erin Ball. The production focuses on a collection of rag-tag circus folk led by Patches T. Barker (Yousef Kadoura), Applique von Battenburg (Silvae Mercedes) and Buttons (Harri Thomas). Over the course of the show, they make various attempts to contact The Invisible Artist (portrayed and created by our Halifax Guest Collaborators), a legendary, multi-faced figure who vanished several years ago. These attempts vary in form, from clown turns and aerial silks to cinema projection and audience participatory ritual, and ultimately succeed, culminating in a theatrical carnival of light, music and creative joy.
The Invisible Artists Carnival is an immersive, travelling performance and film experience that fuses performance ritual, circus, and disability culture. With robust accessibility built into process and performance, the show presents a threadbare Caravan as the deceptive cover for a world of mobile cinema, aerial wizardry and shared ritual. When the Carnival rolls into a neighbourhood as darkness falls, mysterious magic will be unleashed in a live spectacle (suitable for all ages) as the group attempts to make contact with The Artist, a legendary many faced figure who vanished several years ago. EYELEVEL Gallery is bringing this incredible project and its core team of creators (The Other Hearts Collective and Erin Ball) from Toronto to Halifax to work with local artists also from Mad, Deaf, Chronically Ill and Disability communities. The Other Hearts team will collaborate and train with local artists to perform alongside them in an interactive experience that is rooted in accessibility. In addition, a new short video work will be created giving context to “The Artists” in relation to the Carnival.
