The Sisters On Screen Film Festival presents a screening of "The Sapphires"!

Inspired by a true story, "The Sapphires" follows the journey of a trio of Indigenous Australian sisters and their cousin who form a band and go on tour during the Vietnam War.

The Sisters On Screen Film Festival is an educational film series dedicated to women in music. Each film will begin with a pre-screening talk prepared by the students of MUSI 4283 (Women In Music).

Admission to the festival is by freewill donation. Donations raised will go toward creating a scholarship to support a female student’s attendance at one of Acadia’s summer music programs.

"The Sapphires" is rated PG-13.

The presentation plus movie will be about 2 hours and 10 minutes in duration.
