Opening Reception
A series of postcards of Paradise, Nova Scotia since 2016.
These pieces are small 5” by 7” paintings on board, referenced from iPhone photos, memory and sketches.
The time of day, place and date are noted on the back as well as an excerpt, from my journal on that day, placed so as to mimic a postcard, an archaic form of communication in this day of technology.
Viewers are invited to handle the work, to read the back of each piece.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Janice Leonard is an artist living in Nova Scotia. Janice holds a BFA from NSCAD.
