2 DAY ACTING WORKSHOP FOR ADULTS with Jeremy Watkins.
Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21st, 1:00pm-5:30pm.
Jeremy Watkins is back! Whether you are a seasoned actor or just getting into it, you will love this two-day intensive workshop.
Participants will explore their voice and body as tools for expressing themselves on stage, and discover types of personalities through an exercise and the use of physical dimensions on the stage. They will learn the basics of musical theatre and choreography, explore the art of contributing to an ensemble, and practice singing and dancing to a show tune.
Delve into the history and origin of theatre, and learn about the different types of theatre that exist in our communities. Create characters using excerpts from various scripts, ranging from comedy to tragedy, and from drama to history. People will apply their skills and knowledge to bring these characters to life, through rehearsing their scenes for a final performance.
At the end of the workshop, people will showcase their talents to a small audience, and receive feedback and applause.
