Whether you’re new to contemporary dance or a committed fan, you’ll be drawn into Festival of Dance Annapolis Royal’s dazzling MainStage performances. FODAR presents two different programs alternating over 3 days.
PROGRAM ONE:
SOUDAIN L’HIVER DERNIER - a powerful duet by celebrated choreographer James Kudelka and danced by Toronto’s Citadel + Compagnie. Widely acclaimed, this work was an award-winner at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
SOLO (NOT SOLO) WATER STUDY - Choreographed and danced by Meryem Alaoui (Toronto), this is a lighthearted work where one dancer and one percussionist, attempt to reach an accord between sound and movement.
BIG TIME MISS - Multi Dora Award-winner Rock Bottom Movement (Toronto) returns to FODAR with a soft World Premiere! Set to an original dancepunk score, this brilliant absurdist production is brought to life through the spectacular dancers of the company and the unbridled imagination of choreographer and Artistic Director Alyssa Martin.
