We are excited to announce that local fibre artist and farmer Patricia Bishop of Taproot Farms will be joining us for this screening to demonstrate and answer questions about the process of creating textiles from natural fibres such as nettles and flax .

There will be a reception before the screening at 6:30pm in the lobby, with free cider and a fibre arts display.

The film will start at 7:00pm.

After the death of his beloved wife, textile artist Allan Brown embarks on a seven-year endeavour to weave a hand-spun dress from stinging nettles foraged in the woods surrounding his home.

Run time: 1h 08m, followed by a filmed Q &A with the film-maker, and an in-person Q & A with Patricia Bishop of Taproot Farms
