This residency will present a series of short videos that invoke the spirit of place through a combination of natural visual rhythms and music. Multilayered patterns of waves, currents, reflections, shadows and leaves, together with improvised acoustic guitar soundtracks, combine in a single consonance of mood, expression and awareness.
The project is the result of a daily practice of filming and playing that began in Taiwan in March 2023 and has continued in Nova Scotia over the last eighteen months.
The residency will consist of ongoing screening of videos, on-site presence of the artist, including daily presentation of new videos with live music and a final concert and screening.
