THE STORY
Join our hero, Dick Whittington, as he embarks upon an adventure to seek his fortune in Ye Olde London Towne, where “the streets are paved with gold”.
With Terry R. Francis’ hilarious and fast-paced script, Dick and his faithful cat must thwart the wicked schemes of King Rat (“Boo! Hiss!”) and his Rodent Army, to save the Londoners from tyranny, and bring ‘happiness ever after’ to his friends and family.
This well loved folk-tale has been adapted for Panto many, many times – and Terry’s script rollicks along at a ripping pace, with gags and laughter, and songs and dance galore. Directed by Annapolis District Drama Group stalwart Simon Bonnington, and starring many of your best loved local actors, you are sure to be right royally entertained!
So where are ADDG bringing this awesome show to the stage? “Look behind you!” We mean, at King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal, this December.
