We have four shows brought in by professional artists – two for All-Audiences (fun for the whole family!) and two for Mature Audiences! Plus on Saturday, join us for a Hallowe’en Parade starting at the Ross Creek Annex (2182 Sheffield Rd.). We’ll have soup available for $5 before we depart at 5:00. There’ll be puppets and costumes! The parade brings us down Main St. Canning towards the Lion’s Hall, where there’ll be a party afterwards!
For All-Audiences:
Potion for Emotion – It’s Gonna Be Great Theatre
When a monster creates a potion to eliminate emotions and stop conflict, things don’t go according to plan. This original production uses puppetry, music, dance, and physical comedy to celebrate empathy and understanding.
100 Bananas – The Unnatural Disaster Theatre Co.
After the passing of his father, Theo inhereists the banana business. The problem? Nobody wants bananas anymore. With monkey theft on the rise and banana-stand taxes going up, Theo must rediscover the spark that makes this ubiquitous fruit so magical.
For Mature Audiences:
The Augur – The Unnatural Disaster Theatre Co.
A macabre fortune telling puppetry experience. Audiences enter the den of this ancient divinatory to have their fates foretold by the birds in this unforgettable, improvised dark comedy. This intimate performance uses puppetry, improv, and the occult.
Booby Trap! – Think of the Worst Theatre
Booby Trap! is a trans body puppet love story. This piece explores and disturbs the myths of opposition in private vs. public, joy v. sadness and disphoria vs. euphoria. It features clown, mime, an original score dynamic puppeteering, two boob-puppets and one body. Audiences witness violent rejection turn to joyous celebration and land in unexpected grief. Booby Trap! is a joyful losing that mis/represents experiences of queer diss/embodiment.
