In this beginner workshop, you will learn the basics of creating a folk-art-style hooked rug. By re-using old clothing and coffee bags, you will create an eco-friendly work of art! Different materials will be provided to experiment with, as Margaret Forsey teaches you her “anything goes” technique of rug hooking. Margaret Forsey has been making one-of-a-kind hooked rugs for about seven years. She studied fibre arts at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and has exhibited her art across Canada.
