This course is designed for students with intermediate to advanced skills in drawing and painting. Assignments will be composed of a mixture of work from observation (object, landscape, life-drawing) and individual projects. Working mostly on primed and unprimed papers, materials will include pencils, charcoal, ink, acrylic, watercolor and mixed media as well as sessions in sculpture and photography. With a focus on personal expression, students will gain historical insight and learn the art of critiquing peers. Students will have both focused art classes as well as open studio time. Campers also stay in cabins and participate in traditional camp activities like campfires. Visit www.artscentre.ca to learn more and to register. Campers must be 13-19.
