Join us for a Community Arts Sunday in celebration of Indonesia and Diwali!

Our day will include all-ages, hands-on art activities for all ages inspired by cultures from across Indonesia, and performance and workshop by members of the OMBAK Gamelan Ensemble (Ken Shorley, Jeff Hennessy, Mrugakshee Palwe), who will be presenting “chamber” versions of traditional and contemporary music for gamelan degung on a beautiful set of bronze gamelan instruments which are in residence at Acadia University in Wolfville, NS.

Schedule
1-4 pm Hands - On Art Activities, including Shadow Puppet Theatre, Mask-making and more
1:30-and 3:00 pm Traditional Indonesian food will be served with a fun workshop on eating with your hands!
2-3 pm "Chamber" Gamelan performance & workshop
1-4 pm Trail hikes, and Lindsay Dobbin exhibition.

Admission is by donation, Lunch is $15 pp, $10 for kids
