Ross Creek is inviting people who live in or are from the Annapolis Valley and/or the North Mountain to work with us to create a history of past and present of our communities through drawings and writing. The project is to create simple line drawings and 100 word stories about our communities that reflect both our past and present, during Spring 2020.
We encourage anybody interested in submitting a story, or drawing, to participate in two upcoming workshops on June 16 and June 18.
Interactive Zoom Session with Ami McKay
Thursday June 18. Ages 10-16 at 2 PM and Adults at 3:30 PM
Have a short story from your community that you’d like to share? Perhaps a snippet from a journal, or a memory you share with friends, neighbours, and family. This workshop is great for refining your text, or just getting started! Ideas about the past, present, and future in the form of 100 words. We’ll go through the application process together, and explore the medium of story-telling in this workshop with Ami McKay.
Our workshops are free, but you need to visit our website to register artscentre.ca/mountain-and-valley
