DINUK WIJERATNE TRIO. Dinuk Wijeratne, a JUNO and ECMA-winning musician, is one of Canada's most established and performed Classical composers. His multi-genre works encompass much music that is piano-led and improvisation-based, and defy categorization, effortlessly spanning cultures and borders. As a pianist, Wijeratne leads his world-music trio in a seamless blend of traditional and contemporary classical influences, world music, and jazz. He is joined by multi-percussionist Nick Halley and Tom Easley, one of Eastern Canada's finest jazz bassists. Presented in partnership with Debut Atlantic.
