Intro to GIS Maps

Presenter Alain Belliveau, aided by Larry Bogan, will teach us how to use Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping software to enable us to engage in citizen science projects and understand how to analyse interactional geographic maps. Prior to the course, you must download specific software (details forthcoming).

Course fee is is due by Sunday, January 4.

Alain Belliveau an expert in field research and GIS mapping. He is the collections manager of the E.C. Smith herbarium for the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre and Harriet Irving Botanical Garden at Acadia University. He is an extensive contributor to the Blomidon Naturalists Society.

Larry Bogan is a retired Physics and Astronomy professor who works with multiple mapping platforms.
