Paul Illsley The Faroe Islands: A Photographer's Shangri-La?
Abstract: Join Paul as he explores The Faroe Islands; a tiny Danish archipelago located in the North Atlantic between Iceland, Norway and Scotland. This remote collection of 18 tiny islands would fit within an area the size of the Annapolis Valley, but it punches well above its weight when it comes to scenic beauty. During our adventure we will view; 1000-foot sea pillars, 2000-foot towering cliffs, a “floating” lake, terrestrial and undersea tunnels, grass roofed huts, waterfalls cascading into the North Atlantic and remote villages nestled within steep fjords. Come and see if you would agree that this tiny remote and picturesque North Atlantic archipelago deserves the title, “A Photographer's Shangri-La”.
