The Acadia School of Music presents Mark Adam, Eugene Cormier, Nicholas D’Amato, Jeff Hennessy, and Jeff Torbert in concert. This special performance will feature a selection of provocative pieces combining the concept of minimalism with pop music, contemporary art music, jazz, and rock. The concert will begin with American minimalist composer Steve Reich’s iconic Music for Pieces of Wood and will also feature two beautiful works by Estonian composer Arvo Part as well as original pieces by Mark Adam and Nicholas D’Amato. The concert will end with Steve Reich’s 2x5, an exciting three-movement work that combines minimalism and rock music.
Suggested Donation, $15 (but please, come no matter what, even if you have no money! We would rather you be there to experience it)
