Night of the Living Forest at the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens
Thursday October 30, 2008  7pm - 8:30pm (1 Hour 30 Minutes)
'Twas the night before Halloween and all through the Gardens the forest began to come alive! Take a guided hike through the dark and mysterious woodlands of the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens . Use all of your senses to explore the living forest. Look out for magical creatures and listen to the stories told by the keepers of the woods. Learn about the scary things that happen to our forests and how we can help to protect them. Hikes start every 30 minutes on the ½ hour from 7 until 8:30. Rain date: Saturday November 1st. People little and big are invited to wear a costume. Bring your own flashlight and wear warm clothing and comfortable shoes. Before or after your hike join us for music and face painting in front of a roaring fire in the Garden Room.
