Jill Davies, volunteer with the Canadian Diabetes Association, will present a short information session on Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes. Jill will share her own experiences and take questions from the audience.

In spite of being fit, to her surprise, Jill was diagnosed with diabetes at age 62. After being initially diagnosed as Type 2, she was fully insulin dependent within less than a year and considered a “Type 1.5”. Over the past five years, she has educated herself about diabetes and volunteered for the Canadian Diabetes Association.

This free Brown Bag Lunch is offered by Acadia Lifelong Learning (ALL). Faculty, staff, students, and the general community are welcome to attend. If you enjoy the Brown Bag Lunch series, we encourage you to consider becoming an ALL member.
