Lecture / Seminar Conference / Tradeshow Family Friendly
Acadia's Social and Political Thought Program is proud to present the keynote address for the 2019 graduate conference Dr. Stella Gaon. Stella Gaon is Professor of Political Science and Adjunct Professor of Women and Gender Studies at Saint Mary’s University. She specializes in political theory and contemporary social and political thought, and is particularly interested in questions concerning the nature of critical theory, the political-philosophical theme of 'otherness', and the possibilities for emancipatory change. Along with this featured keynote, the conference will run presentations both Saturday and Sunday, with graduate students from across Canada coming to present their work in an open and inclusive academic environment. All of the weekend's events are open to and free for the public.
