Inaugural Talk and Launch of the Acadia University Environmental and Sustainability Studies Program featuring, Dr. Graham Harvey, entitled "Re-visiting the living world" .

Many of us find it easy to celebrate the beauty of the world but struggle to act against the threats facing us. In this talk, I consider the necessity of learning from indigenous knowledges and lifeways that place humans at home within the larger-than-human community.

Dr Graham Harvey is Reader in Religious Studies at The Open University, UK. His research is largely about religiously motivated environmentalism and the many possible ways in which humans dwell on Earth.
