Acadia welcomes back Dr. Randolph Quaye, visiting Scholar and Acadia Alumni (1982). Dr. Quaye's visit is funded through a Harrison McCain Visiting Professor Award. He will be reflecting about his time as a MA student at Acadia and about his current visit. Throughout his visit, Dr. Quaye has held conversation circles for BIPOC faculty members, met with graduate students, and has guest lectured in several classes.

Randolph Quaye, Co-Chair of Ohio Wesleyan’s Department of Africana, Gender, and Identity Studies, is an expert in the sociology of health and illness, African development, and social conditions in the African American community. Having recently developed and directed study abroad programs to Kenya and Zimbabwe, Quaye is the author of three books and over 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Health Policy, American Journal of Managed Care, Multicultural Journal of Health and Nursing, and International Journal of Health Care Quality Assurance.
