Experience a new kind of musical magic at the Square Dance Jamboree, featuring a lively square set by the Rabbit Square Dance Band with caller Zakary Miller. This family-friendly event brings the joy of traditional dance to life, inviting everyone to join in and celebrate community through music and movement.
Adding a unique twist, Deep Roots artists in residence Mary Beth Carty and Ally Fiola will debut Tradwave: A Sonic Search, a project they have been creating and fine-tuning during the week at the Ross Creek Centre for the Arts. This innovative suite blends foot percussion, fiddle, saxophone, and electronic textures, weaving together tradition and technology into an atmospheric dance experience.
Their live performance, built from acoustic sounds and digital manipulation, promises an imaginative EDM square dance - an exciting new take on East Coast tradition.
